This 16-hour marathon of sci-fi and fantasy films kicks off at noon on Saturday, April 12, with Georges Melies’s silent classic A Trip to the Moon (1902) and concludes at 2:15 AM with Dario Argento’s Phenomena (1985), starring a teenage Jennifer Connelly as a girl who communicates with insects. Among the other highlights: Ridley Scott’s Legend, starring Tom Cruise (Sat 4/12, 2:15 PM); George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, introduced by Kyra Schon, who played the littlest zombie (6:40 PM); Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth, introduced by actor Doug Jones (8:30 PM); John Carpenter’s Escape From New York (10:45 PM); and David Cronenberg’s The Dead Zone (Sun 4/13, 12:30 AM).
