Four shorts from the 70s and 80s by West German independent, camp talent, and free spirit Ulrike Ottinger: Laocoon & Sons (1973), her first film, which was inspired by Virginia Woolf’s Orlando; Berlin Fever (1973); the formally experimental The Enchantment of the Blue Sailors (1975), featuring Tabea Blumenschein and Rosa von Praunheim; and Pride (1986), Ottinger’s fanciful and allegorical segment from the sketch film Seven Women, Seven Sins.
