When TV junkie Roy Knable (John Ritter) signs up for a new cable channel, he becomes part of a Faustian agreement that puts himself and his wife (Pam Dawber) in the hands of an evil, otherworldly network executive (Jeffrey Jones) and inside the television, where they’re forced to play roles in a series of nightmarish game shows, sitcoms, and cartoons.
