Rain Pryor, daughter of comedy legend Richard Pryor, is an effervescent actress with provocative insights into how people are discriminated against based on their race, gender, and religion. She deserves better than this monotonous documentary by Elzbieta Szoka, which cuts, with mind-numbing repetitiveness, between footage from Rain’s one-woman stage show Fried Chicken and Latkes and talking-head interviews with the performer and various family members.
