Director Jenniphr Goodman, who wrote the screenplay for this romantic comedy with her sister Greer Goodman and their friend Duncan North, describes their collaboration as having begun with a character—modeled on North—but no story. Dex (Donal Logue), a systematic womanizer who’s as much a product of cinema tropes as real-life observations, finally meets a woman (Greer Goodman) capable of resisting his charms, which forces him to reevaluate his trusty philosophy of seduction. The clunky plot, set in Santa Fe, includes a foil character who might as well wear a sign on his forehead. 90 min.
