A fledgling, thirtysomething rock musician (prolific French indie actor Vincent Macaigne) returns home to the title city, a nondescript town in the Burgundy region, to crash with his father while he works on new songs. He also enters into a fling with a cute journalism student he meets at the local college, only to unravel when she rejects him. This low-key psychodrama (2013) is light on narrative development but rich in observations of character; only gradually does one notice how the musician seems to have inherited many of his psychological issues directly from his father. Guillaume Brac directed a script he wrote with Catherine Paillé and Hélène Ruault. In French with subtitles.
