Not Pictured: A trophy awarded for placing first in his class in the Infantry Officer Advanced Course, one of the most prestigious military training programs in the world. “Three days later I walked out of the army.”

In His Own Words: “They assigned me to recruit, and I told them I’d do what they told me but I wouldn’t get anyone else involved. It was an excuse. I was looking for a reason to get out and would have found another one eventually.”
