In his review of Martin Lawrence Live: Runteldat, Bill Stamets describes the star as being in “payback mode for this concert filmed at the DAR’s Constitution Hall in Washington.”

I presume that Mr. Stamets believes this performance is some sort of “payback” for the Marian Anderson debacle. However, paying back the slight given to a “class act” with a “crass act” doesn’t seem to quite fit the standards for “sweet revenge.”
