To the editors:

Many thanks for the story in today’s issue [“Chi Lives: the travels of Bob Katzman, bookseller,” November 19]. It was well written and colorful.

There was one error that the public wouldn’t catch but my family would: My grandmother, 91, mentioned in the article, did not lose any brothers or sisters to the Nazis. They almost all came to America between 1900 and 1925.

She did lose other family (cousins, aunts, uncles, etc), however. But still, to all of us, it’s an important fact to correct.

On a lighter note, I never realized I looked like Buddy Hackett! I always thought I looked Italian, maybe like Armand Assante? Oh, well, at least the writer didn’t say Boris Karloff.
