To the editors:
After having read the article of December 5, 1986, dealing with racism in West Lawn, in which my uncle, Joseph Rogul, was extensively quoted, I feel compelled to express my own view. This is due in part to the fact that our names are exactly the same and I wish to avoid any possible confusion of identity, but also because I had lived in the neighborhood for 20 years or so, and now operate my business there. The views he expressed are clearly those of an extremist and could be charitably described as moronic. I assure you that in 1986 all of the rational residents and business people in West Lawn find such expressions of hatred to be repulsive.
