I actually like Bill Wyman.

No one, apparently, gives him credit for writing what he thinks.

If you’re easily made insecure by any unflattering mention of your favorite band, like I used to be when I was maybe 15 years old, read a populist rock rag–God knows there are enough of them. Otherwise, you’ll just have to suffer through one man’s critical opinion and bear it like an adult.

It’s ironic. Most readers of this paper probably consider themselves open-minded and tolerant. Yet all it takes is one differing viewpoint by Wyman for some of these same folks to come unglued, even threaten him [Letters, September 8].

It’s not your religion; it’s not your family. It’s just music. Learn to take it in stride.
