It’s puzzling that almost all coverage of musician/engineer John McEntire–including Peter Margasak’s career overview (Post No Bills, October 18)–fails to mention his tenure in the band Seam. McEntire and Bundy Brown joined Seam together in 1991 and played on some of the band’s most acclaimed recordings: the Kernel EP, and “Road to Madrid,” from the album The Problem With Me.

It’s also worth noting McEntire’s previous work in film music: last year he engineered the original sound track to Rea Tajiri’s Strawberry Fields, which was composed and performed by Brown and Seam’s Sooyoung Park.
