Dear editor,

Armstrong’s closing comment in her article on Roe v. Wade [Chicago Antisocial, March 17] is one I hear frequently. However, the majority of people who oppose abortion do so not because they are antichoice, but rather because they are pro-life. They believe that abortion ends a human life which is precious, even prior to birth. The statement “People who oppose abortions don’t have to have them” is the rough equivalent of saying, “People who oppose child abuse don’t have to molest their kids.”
