I was so pleased with the article about a man’s fantasies of sleeping with his mother [“Mommy and Me,” October 24]. As an employee of the University of Chicago, I read it while eating lunch in the cafeteria during parents’ weekend. I couldn’t help thinking about all the young boys nearby eating lunch with their mothers. I am sure that they have all had the ubiquitous dream. Funny, several of my male friends have confided in me about similar dreams. I tried to keep them from dwelling in the aberration; it’s just part of the Oedipus complex. Being a girl, I thoroughly enjoyed the erotic nature of the article, since good sex is hard to come by.
