We’re kicking off Giving Tuesday early this year! Your donation today will be matched up to $10K, doubling your impact! If you donate $50 today, the Reader will receive $100.
The Reader is now a community-funded nonprofit newsroom. Can we count on your support to help keep us publishing?
To the editors:
Your idiotic policy on picture captions serves neither readers nor the subjects. It reaches a low point in the review of The Belle of Amherst (May 22), where quite a distinction is made by the reviewer between the two women who play Emily Dickinson. You show one of the two and we have absolutely no idea which it is. What is the point of failing to identify actors in a play or film?
