Two women exiting the McDonald’s on Adams and Wells about a week ago had scored and scored big–they carried six Beanie Baby Happy Meals between them and could look forward to at least a half hour of peace at home. The question of what to do with the meals seemed to be immediately resolved when the first woman spotted a Streetwise vendor standing on the corner. They marched over and thrust six bags of food at the man, who turned away and groaned, “No, no…” The women abuptly apologized and were about to move on when the man noticed their dismay and explained, “I’ve had five Happy Meals in the last hour–I just can’t take any more.”
