Kudos to Jonathan Rosenbaum for going against the grain of clueless jeers directed by the mainstream media at a film as provocative, original, and truly independent as Masked and Anonymous [“Doses of Reality,” August 15].

In spite of the mostly negative press, I suspect this ballsy and poetic work of cinematic social criticism will be of interest to moviegoers long after every other film in town has been forgotten. As usual, our most intelligent and perceptive film critic has gotten it right.
