Thank you very much for the insightful and informative article on south-side businesses. I’m not much of a neighborhood explorer but I am adventuresome enough to visit and be a customer to my neighbors on the south side. This is precisely the type of article I’ve needed to push me beyond my Pullman neighborhood. I know the south side is often treated like the bastard offspring of the city and certainly suffers economically–but I have found south-siders to be friendly, generous of spirit, and they talk to one another when they meet on the street. Congratulations to Jeffrey Felshman and the Reader for a most excellent “south side” article.
