Bad Dates = Great Stories: Submit your story for the chance to have it performed by Second Story at the Reader's Annual ANTI-VALENTINE'S DAY PARTY Tuesday February 14 @ Logan Square Auditorium

Chicago Reader’s 3rd Annual

Anti-Valentine’s Day Party

With performances by 2nd Story and The Black Belles

Tuesday, February 14 – Doors at 7PM, Show at 8PM
Logan Square Auditorium – 2539 North Kedzie Blvd
$14 – Buy tickets

For the third year in a row, we’ve teamed up with 2nd Story to bring you the best bad date stories to turn your Valentine’s Day frown upside down. This year’s hosts Seth & Kellen will keep the laughs going in between story performances, and thanks to Empty Bottle Presents, we’ll wrap the party with a kick ass performance by all-girl garage -goth band the Black Belles!

The first 150 ticket buyers will receive a gift bag full of goodies from the Pleasure Chest, rights to skip the door line, and a glass of bubbly handed to them by a Windy City Rollers derby girl. Buy tickets now.

See someone you fancy? Buy them a valentine and a derby girl will deliver it for you! The valentines, on sale for two bucks each, will benefit Barrel of Monkeys, an art education theater ensemble that works with some of the most under-served students in Chicago. And if you’re wondering what to do with all that old relationship memorabilia, bring an item to Seth & Kellen and they will ceremoniously destroy it for you!

This event is generously sponsored by WBEZ 91.5.

We’re still taking submissions for stories, so if you’ve got a great Best Bad Date story, you have until February 1 to submit! See contest details below:
